Apple TV – Review
Latest update about the status of the Apple TV innovation
Many people have been wondering what impact the late Steve Jobs death would have on the Apple Company. Rumours that there may be a launch of a new Apple TV will perhaps be the key to finding out what everyone has been waiting for – a new product to judge the affect the death of such a prominent ideas man has had on the future of Apple. It was in fact Steve Jobs biography that was the first hint an Apple TV would be on the cards. This is not the little black box that you can buy in-store today but a brand new next generation TV set that will be able to wirelessly connect with other Apple devices.

Apple TV reviews of the older model have not been that flattering so to crack this market will not be an easy task for Apple. There is a lot of competition in this area but rumours suggest that the innovation of Apple has not dried up and that by discovering how many times a programme or film had been seen on numerous screens on all the different devices- TV, iPod, iPad and so on could lead to production companies allowing for more free showings. This would be an improvement on the current Apple TV which only has a limited amount of channels to use. Whatever the TV cost of this new product- if Apple’s new TV was a success the supremacy it could have over the market would be unmatched by its competitors. However, a quick glance at the past could unravel this theory as all the other well established and very successful computer businesses who have tried to introduce TVs have failed miserably. Is Apple taking on too much? Only time will tell – it is estimated that if this Apple TV is being manufactured it will not grace the market till late 2012 or in 2013.
Details of what the Apple TV set will look like such as the size are not yet known -whether it will be brought out at a larger 50 inch size or smaller 32 inch is still very much under wraps. The Apple TV available now, is a tiny box that is more suited for on the go than prime time entertainment. There have been various issues with this device that will have to be solved in order to make this new launch a triumph. Complaints such as the advertisement of HD films being available on the day of their release being found false and the limited formats that can be utilised for download have hindered the sale of this device. Nevertheless, this is still a very exciting concept if Apple are successful in their task but with Apple keeping notoriously quiet about the rumours flying about we will have to wait a little longer to have this confirmed.
